Yesterday, the Florida House passed election reforms in Senate Bill 90, which now heads to the governor’s desk. The legislation, introduced by Senator Dennis Baxley and Representative Blaise Ingoglia, takes significant steps toward securing Florida elections and includes provisions that prevent ballot harvesting, secure ballot drop boxes, and create a more transparent and accountable election process.

The Opportunity Solutions Project (OSP) applauds the Florida legislature’s efforts to provide Americans with secure, transparent elections by implementing reforms that many Florida voters support. Florida’s legislation is part of a growing national focus on restoring trust in the democratic process, as states move to prevent tampering with absentee ballots and prohibit voter manipulation through private funding of local elections.
