Expedite Legal Announces New Web-Based Portal
Companion to Mobile App, Designed to Meet Specific Needs of Paralegals and Law Office Staff
Today at the Synapse Summit, Expedite Legal, the on-demand platform that connects attorneys and paralegals with legal support services, announced a new web-based portal that brings the benefits of the Expedite app directly to paralegals and other legal staff who primarily work in offices. The portal version of Expedite is based on direct feedback from six months of law office staff testing with more than 800 users in Tampa Bay.
Every year, over 600,000 legal proceedings are canceled, delayed or rescheduled due to the antiquated process of securing legal support services. Expedite, the fastest growing platform in the legal industry, addresses the inefficiencies in the $2.3 billion market for court reporting services by connecting independent legal services providers directly with legal teams. Using Expedite, legal teams can instantly locate the closest-available provider with the highest rating, often finding the right resources in seconds.
Originally launched as a mobile app in April of 2018, the new web portal addresses two primary concerns of paralegals and other law office staff. Previously, Expedite was only available on personal mobile devices and required a credit card to use. Now Expedite can be accessed on corporate desktops/laptops and billing can be centrally managed by the firm.
“We’ve tested Expedite with more than 800 users for the past six months,” said Eve Barrett, founder and CEO of Expedite Legal. “The mobile app version of Expedite has been very well received. However, key users—paralegals and other office staff—prefer the option to experience the benefits of Expedite while in the office. Attorneys and legal services providers, including court reporters, still prefer the mobile version of the platform.”
Expedite is currently expanding into new markets, having already announced it will be available in Los Angeles and Houston next month. Additional expansion markets planned for 2019 include Austin, Dallas/Fort Worth, San Diego, San Francisco, Sacramento, Charleston, Chicago, New York, Miami/Fort Lauderdale, Jacksonville, Tallahassee, and Orlando.
Expedite is an easy-to-use on-demand platform that allows attorneys and paralegals to hail immediate legal support services; i.e., court reporters, videographers and interpreters. When needed, Legal teams can instantly locate, request and book the closest provider with the highest rating. For additional information visit http://www.expedite.legal.
