California Lemon Law Firm Launches New Website to Better Serve Californians Seeking Information about Automobile Fraud and California Lemon Law

The Nita Lemon Law Firm announces the launch of its new website, which can be found at Firm founder and principal attorney Nick Nita saw the need for a more dynamic and engaging website that would help spread the word to Californians about their rights under California lemon law. The California lemon law, also known as the Song-Beverly Warranty Act and the Tanner Consumer Protection Act, allows people to obtain a refund, replacement or cash settlement when their vehicle turns out to be a lemon. Basically, a lemon is a problem vehicle that cannot be repaired after two or more attempts to repair a serious safety defect, four or more attempts to repair the same problem, or has been out of service for repair for more than 30 days. There are other criteria involved as well, and defenses the manufacturer may use to fight a lemon law claim, all of which are explained in more detail on the website.

To further serve as an informational resource to consumers, the website contains a page of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) and another page of Resources. The FAQs page answers lemon law questions such as whether California lemon law applies to used car purchases, and addresses common concerns about auto dealer fraud such as how to know if the used car you are purchasing has been in an accident, or whether the odometer has been tampered with.

The Resources page contains links to other consumer and legal websites to help consumers wishing to read the law for themselves, file a complaint with a government agency, access information about a car they are purchasing, learn about vehicle safety recalls, and more. "I have devoted my legal career to helping consumers fight fraud and make sure they get the full value of their automotive purchase," says Mr. Nita. "I created this website to share some of the knowledge and information I have learned from practicing in this field for nearly 15 years."

The firm's new website will include a monthly blog featuring timely topical news and information on California lemon law court cases, legislative developments, and general information. The blog's initial post, "What are the Steps in a Lemon Law Claim?", lets people know exactly what they need to do when they believe they have been stuck with a lemon. Each blog post will also be shared on Facebook, Twitter and Google+, enhancing the ability of important consumer information to reach a wider audience.
