Birds Convey More Than Just Tunes With Alarm Calls – Bird-x Uses This…

A study was recently published in the Current Biology journal that outlined how birds can learn new alarm calls even if they have not experienced any direct threats. Discussed in further detail on, over the past several decades researchers have found that bird alarm calls are actually more complex that we ever thought.

The bird experts at Bird-X, Inc. have been working with naturally recorded bird alarm calls for decades as well, teaming up with researchers out in the fields capturing real alarm calls from a variety of pest birds like pigeons, seagulls, crows, and more, as well as the predator cries from birds of prey like hawks and falcons. These recorded calls are integrated into Bird-X’s sonic bird deterrent systems, often four-speaker units that can cover up to six full acres of land.

These sonic devices, like the Super BirdXPeller® PRO, emit the recorded calls to scare and alarm many different pest birds without traps or chemicals. The sounds come at random intervals, so that the targeted birds do not grow acclimated to any set pattern of sounds. These sounds tell the birds that the area they are in is unsafe, and to seek more welcoming grounds. This is a safe, humane way to keep birds out of a number of areas like large commercial spaces, parking lots, and agricultural settings.

Bird-X, Inc. has spent over 50 years protecting public areas from over 60 bird-spread transmissible diseases.
