“Evan and his clients are the perfect addition to our practice.”

Evan Phelps advises medical device companies around the globe on a wide variety of FDA legal and regulatory matters, including Premarket Approval Applications (PMAs), Premarket Notifications (510(k)s), and Investigational Device Exemption (IDE) Applications; the Quality System Regulation (QSR); the Medical Device Reporting (MDR) Regulation; recalls, and much more. Mr. Phelps also assists Clinical Investigators and IRBs with compliance, enforcement, and training issues. Mr. Phelps joins the firm from Olsson, Frank and Weeda, where he was a member of the medical device group for almost twenty years. “I am grateful for my tenure at OFW and all of the incredible attorneys and clients that I had the pleasure of working with,” said Mr. Phelps. “I am also excited to start this new chapter in my career with Amin Talati, and am thrilled to be part of the story of its growth and success.”

“I have known Evan for many years and have seen firsthand his deep knowledge of the regulations, his industry savvy, and his unfailing dedication to his clients,” said Neil O’Flaherty, the leader of the firm’s medical device group who joined the firm last year. “Evan and his clients are the perfect addition to our practice.”

Recently, the firm’s medical device group has been privileged to advise a large number of companies making products available to help fight the Coronavirus pandemic, including advice on face masks and other PPE, test kits, respirators, ventilators, breathing monitors and more. Whether it is advising on labeling and importing requirements, or securing FDA Emergency Use Authorizations (EUA), the firm is very proud to be doing whatever it can to assist these clients.
